Barnagh Greenway Hub

The Challenge

Barnagh Greenway Hub is a multi-use visitor destination located along the Limerick Greenway, offering food and drink, family-friendly attractions, creative activities, events, and outdoor experiences. As part of the Fáilte Ireland Digital that Delivers (DTD) programme, the hub needed a modern website that could clearly communicate the full breadth of its offering while supporting tourism funding requirements.

The existing digital presence did not fully reflect the scale, atmosphere, or variety of the destination. Key challenges included presenting multiple experiences without overwhelming visitors, catering to a wide range of audiences (walkers, cyclists, families, and tour groups), and ensuring visitors could quickly find practical information such as activities, opening hours, location, and events—particularly on mobile devices.

The Solution

We designed and developed a clear, experience-led website that supports Barnagh Greenway Hub’s role as a key stop along the Greenway while meeting the requirements of the Digital that Delivers programme. The primary objectives were to:

  • Clearly present the hub’s diverse activities, food offerings, events, and visitor information in a structured, easy-to-navigate format

  • Improve user journeys through logical content grouping, strong visual hierarchy, and clear calls to action

  • Create a mobile-first experience optimised for visitors planning or already on their journey

  • Build the site to modern performance and accessibility standards, aligning with WCAG 2.2 AA best practices

The new website brings the destination to life through engaging imagery and intuitive navigation, making it easy for visitors to understand what’s on offer, plan their visit, and engage with the hub with confidence.
