Dun Beag Fort

The Challenge

Dunbeg Fort, an ancient and culturally significant site on the Dingle Peninsula, needed a comprehensive update to its digital presence as part of the Fáilte Ireland Digital that Delivers programme, with Egg Design as a vendor. Their existing website was outdated, lacked visual appeal, and did not effectively showcase the historical importance and visitor experience of the fort. Additionally, the site was not mobile-friendly and had an inefficient booking system, making it difficult for potential visitors to learn about and book tours. The challenge was to create a modern, user-friendly website that would enhance the visitor experience, streamline the booking process, and highlight the fort’s historical significance.

The Solution

We revitalised both the brand and website for Dunbeg Fort. The new brand identity features a refreshed, cohesive visual style that reflects the fort’s historical importance and cultural heritage. The redesigned website integrates this updated branding with a clean, intuitive layout, high-quality images, and engaging content that highlights the fort’s history and visitor experiences. Key improvements include an easy-to-use online booking system, a responsive design for optimal performance on all devices, and enhanced navigation to make it easier for users to find relevant information. Additionally, we implemented SEO best practices to improve search engine visibility and attract more organic traffic.
