The Challenge
Established in 2000, family furniture business Lane Brothers offers a quality retail experience from their showroom in Tralee, Co. Kerry. With a strong family heritage in furniture retail, the company is renowned for their ability to provide quality pieces at best value prices.
In 2020, the decision was made to transition their in-store shopping experience to the online environment in order to grow their business nationwide.
With the challenge of designing an engaging retail experience for their customers and importing hundreds of products to a new online store, the Lane Brothers approached Egg Design to guide them on their mission for growth.
The Solution
From the outset, the ambition for the Lane Brothers digital shopping experience, was that it would look and feel like their bricks-and-mortar store.
Egg Design created a full 360 e-commerce solution, integrating the WooCommerce platform with the store’s back-end systems, to aid the smooth transition online internally whilst externally creating an online shopping experience that would display the company’s vast selection of quality furniture items in a visually appealing manner.
Special care and attention were given to ensure the Lane Brother’s first time digital design would reflect their simple and seamless in-store shopping experience with special features to enhance the useability of the site, while putting speed and practicality at the core of the experience.
Egg Design’s ongoing support and maintenance package, which is designed to provide ongoing assistance to growing digital businesses, was integral to optimising the site’s performance for the long-term.
